DESCRIPTION:Join us on September 25\, 2025\n\nUCSF-John Muir Health Jean and Ken Hofmann Cancer Center at the Behring Pavilion\n\n\n\n177 La Casa Via\, Walnut Creek\, CA  94598\n\nUrology Clinic\, Suite 200\n\n5pm - 8 pm\, registration required\n\nSpanish and English-speaking staff on site\n\n\n\nWho should get prostate cancer screening?\n\nThe prostate is small gland that people assigned male at birth have near their bladders. Men ages 45+ should get a prostate cancer screening.  If you are high risk\, you should begin getting screened at age 40.\n\n\n\nWhat happens at the screening?\n\nThis screening event is part of a special study and you'll start by signing a consent form. There are two parts to the screening and you must do both parts.  The first is a digital rectal exam. The doctor will feel for any abnormalities in the prostate.  The second part is a blood test\, which will test for the level of a prostate-specific antigen in your blood. We will send the blood test to a lab and contact you when we have your results.\n\n\n\nDetermine if you qualify and register to attend\n\nSpaces are limited and registration is required.  Call (925) 674-2901 to register.
