DESCRIPTION:You are invited to the 7th annual Honoring Women Veterans event on March 7 at Las Positas College in Livermore. Please RSVP by March 5.\n \n\n\nJoin us on March 7 at Las Positas College to honor our women veterans and raise awareness about the important role women have played in the military. The program will include the color guard\, national anthem\, student panel\, keynote speaker and question/answer session\, followed by the awarding of scholarships and lunch.\n\n\n\n\nSharing their voice\, four student women veterans from different branches of service will share their story of courage in the military and resilience in their transition to civilian and college life.\n\nThe free program will also include a talk by keynote speaker Graciela Tiscareno-Sato\, an award-winning author\, speaker\, passionate storyteller\, mother of three\, publisher\, marketer and advocate for special needs children. Graciela served on active duty for over nine years as a United States Air Force officer and aviator. She was a senior instructor and crewmember aboard the KC-135 aerial refueling tanker. She deployed to and lived in dozens of countries on four continents\, gaining deep\, valuable cultural insights that she applied in her subsequent business career. She is a highly decorated veteran and a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. While stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane\, Washington\, she completed her master's degree in International Management at Whitworth University between operational deployments to all corners of the earth. She earned her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.\n\nLunch will be provided. Please RSVP by March 5\, 2019.
