DESCRIPTION:Explore everyday science at Stockmen's Park in downtown Livermore\, one Saturday every month from April to October.  The theme for April 23\, from 10am-1pm is Science of Bubbles.  Experience a dozen hands-on soap bubble activities\, along with performances and competitions.  Learn about the science behind surface tension\, soap solutions\, and special ingredients to make gigantic and colorful bubbles.  \n\n\n\nActivities include:  Bubble in Bubble\, Bubble Shapes\, Boo Bubbles\, Stand Inside a Bubble\, Soap Film Loops\, Bubble Solution Testing\, Art Bubbles\, DIY Bubble Wands\, Bubble Testing Zone\, Longest Bubble Contest\, Bubble Play Area\, Measuring Bubble Thickness.  \n\n\n\nSpecial Performance from 11:30am-12:00pm\, when world-renowned bubbles expert and scientist Brian Lawrence will be providing bubble demonstrations and attempting to break the world record for the largest bubble at 96.27 cubic meters.
