Led by two professional actors appearing in Hamlet\, students will dive deep into Shakespeare's text while sharpening their acting skills in a dynamic\, hands-on environment.\n\n\n\nRegistration also includes two tickets for your student to experience Hamlet live at Darcie Kent Estate Winery during the week of the class.\n\n\n\n"The Play's The Thing" immerses students in an active\, rehearsal-style process where they train like working actors while exploring The Tragedy of Hamlet\, Prince of Denmark. Across seven evening sessions\, students engage in daily physical and vocal warm-ups\, theatre games\, and trust-building exercises that foster confidence and ensemble collaboration\, followed by hands-on monologue and scene work drawn from Shakespeare's canon. Guided by two professional actors currently performing in the production\, participants experiment with verse speaking\, rhetoric\, and character development while connecting classical text to contemporary performance choices. Each class also features a focused workshop such as stage combat\, audition technique\, or movement and voice work offering practical industry insight.
