Buggabee Garden and Sinai Sun Programs are teaming up together to help implement their signature Small Group Learning curriculum in the Bay Area. Our program will be hosted in a home daycare in Livermore for the upcoming 2018/2019 school year. The program has already been successfully offered in the following locations in the Bay Area since 2012.

  • San Ramon

  • Dublin

  • Pleasanton

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about experiential learning and LOVE children. Our preferred candidate will believe in alternative methodologies of instruction and want to be part of our mission to deliver affordable, high quality early learning program. We offer detailed training, pre-prepared lesson plans where all materials and curriculum plans have been developed for you. Our current vacancy offers a part-time schedule that works nicely for students or mothers who have schedule constraints.

Teachers are responsible for the implementation of our learning program in our Livermore location but may be moved in future academic years to a different location with a high possibility of an upgrade in pay.

The position requires:

  • Skill and expertise in classroom management of our target age group (2.5 to 6)

  • The ability to conduct regular child assessments and adjust lesson plans accordingly

  • The ability to accept and work effectively with children and adults from diverse populations with diverse linguistic, mathematics and developmental needs.

  • You would be a role model for developmentally appropriate practices in the classroom and have shared responsibility for classroom setup and classroom management.

  • You will provide support and assistance in the classroom by providing a warm and nurturing environment that helps children grow intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially.

  • You will participate in all activities in the classroom and work as a team member with other staff.


  • Six to twelve ECE units

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education OR 3 years of equivalent experience

  • Teachers should be able to verbally communicate with parents and other adults in English using grammatically correct language.

  • Be physically, mentally and occupationally capable of performing the following actions without endangering ones own health:

  • Reach a child 25 feet away within 10 seconds or less

  • Hear a child call for help from at least 50 feet away

  • Comprehend and react to dangerous situations involving children without hesitation

  • Crouch to a childs height and maintain eye contact

  • Reach children on the highest piece of play equipment
    Lift a minimum of 40 pounds

  • Sit on the floor and/or low chair and interact with children for an extended period of time.


  • The availability to work from 9:00am to 2:30pm

  • Punctuality above all else

  • Plan days off at least 48 hours in advance

  • Communicate with other staff members respectfully and with clarity

  • Owns their own vehicle or has reliable means of transportation

  • The ability to pass a background check and other fingerprinting requirements listed by CDSS
