Explore everyday science at Stockmen’s Park in downtown Livermore, one Saturday every month from April to October. The theme for April 23, from 10am-1pm is Science of Bubbles. Experience a dozen hands-on soap bubble activities, along with performances and competitions. Learn about the science behind surface tension, soap solutions, and special ingredients to make gigantic and colorful bubbles.
Activities include: Bubble in Bubble, Bubble Shapes, Boo Bubbles, Stand Inside a Bubble, Soap Film Loops, Bubble Solution Testing, Art Bubbles, DIY Bubble Wands, Bubble Testing Zone, Longest Bubble Contest, Bubble Play Area, Measuring Bubble Thickness.
Special Performance from 11:30am-12:00pm, when world-renowned bubbles expert and scientist Brian Lawrence will be providing bubble demonstrations and attempting to break the world record for the largest bubble at 96.27 cubic meters.
