The City of Livermore is gearing up for an Independence Day celebration at the Livermore Municipal Airport, promising a day packed with music, local cuisine, and activities for the whole family scheduled for July 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
City Manager Marianna Marysheva expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming festivities. "We are thrilled to host this event at the Livermore Municipal Airport," Marysheva said. "We look forward to creating a family-friendly atmosphere to celebrate our nation’s independence and creating yet another opportunity to bring our community closer together."
ACTIVITIES AT THE LIVERMORE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
The celebration at the airport will feature a range of attractions including:
• Culinary Showcase from Amuse Kitchen: Attendees can savor a variety of delicious dishes from Amuse Kitchen, showcasing Livermore's up and coming culinary talents.
• Live Music from the Groove Objective: The Groove Objective will entertain the crowd with their energetic and engaging performances throughout the event.
• Aircraft Displays: Visitors will have the chance to get up close and personal with a range of aircrafts on display along with remote controlled aircraft demonstrations by the Livermore Flying Electrons.
• Hands-On Activities for Children and Families: Kids can explore and learn through interactive exhibits and activities provided by Quest Science Center, LARPD Rangers, and Las Positas College Veterans First Program. There will also be petting zoo and magician entertainment for attendees.

"This celebration is designed to offer something for everyone," Marysheva noted. " We are excited to see families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate our nation's independence in such a unique setting."

OTHER FOURTH OF JULY ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT LIVERMORE

In addition to the main event at the airport, Livermore will host several other activities to celebrate Independence Day:
Independence Day Dash 5k and Kids Run:
The festivities will start early with the Independence Day Dash at Sycamore Grove Park. The 5K race begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by a Kids' 400m Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. This event is perfect for families and runners of all levels. Rincon Library Storytelling & Parade:
On July 3, 2024, the Rincon Branch Library and May Nissen Park will host storytelling and a kids' parade, offering a prelude to the main celebration for families looking to get into the holiday spirit early details at www.Library.LivermoreCA.gov.
