Well-Being in Your Whole Being: How You Can Improve Your Wellness
How do you foster wellness in your everyday life? Wellness is more than our physical health; it’s how well-balanced and vitalized we feel in a variety of avenues like our work, social life, mental health, or spirituality. In this interactive and experiential talk, you’ll learn about wellness’ essential elements, explore which are personally meaningful and energizing, consider areas that may need strengthening, and start planning how you can create balance that improves your holistic health and wellness.
About the Presenter
Winter Brown, Ph.D., C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, and RPYT, has taught yoga for over a decade at local yoga studies as well as with Stanford Health Care - ValleyCare where she now serves as a Clinical Instructor in Physical and Sports Medicine. She is a lead trainer in Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness’ 300-Hour Teacher Training and the founder and lead trainer of Dragonfly Yoga + Wellness’ Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. Since certifying as a yoga therapist in 2018, Winter has been steadily working to expand mind-body integration within the hospital setting through patient care, classes, and presentations. She currently works with cancer patients, cardiac and pulmonary rehab patients, people living with persistent pain and dizziness, and hospital employees. She strives to create inclusive and safe spaces that empower people with mindfulness and movement tools that nourish their holistic well-being.
