About Us

Since 1984, Shepherd's Gate has been providing long-term, residential program for women & children escaping the cycles of homelessness, addiction & domestic violence. We offer comprehensive services to meet the specific needs, hopes and dreams for each woman & child. Because of our comprehensive approach, 80%-85% of women that successfully go through the program & graduate don't go back to their old lives. Our campus in Livermore has the capacity to serve up to 70 women and children at a time and includes two residence halls, five independent-living cottages, administrative offices, and an 8,200 square-foot learning facility. We receive no funding from the government. Our success over the past 35 years is attributed to individual donors & community support.
