Welcome Kara Klotchman New Executive Director Livermore Downtown Inc.
| The Board of Directors of Livermore Downtown Inc. (LDI) is pleased to announce that Kara Klotchman has accepted the position of Executive Director. A proud Livermore native, Kara brings over 11 years of experience in downtown revitalization and community development, dedicating her career to fostering economic growth and building vibrant, thriving communities. Kara’s passion for this field was sparked during her time at LDI from 2012 to 2018, where she developed a deep appreciation for strategic planning, local collaboration, and creative problem-solving. She went on to serve as the Executive Director of the Downtown Martinez & Co. Main Street Program, where she led transformative initiatives that strengthened local businesses and revitalized downtown spaces. Known for her adaptability and collaborative leadership, she has been a mentor, advocate, and strategic partner to stakeholders throughout her career. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a degree in Marketing and Advertising, Kara brings a unique blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and economic development expertise. She has also contributed to the Livermore Commission for the Arts and served on the California Main Street board of directors, further deepening her commitment to community-driven growth. Kara is just as excited to return to her hometown as we are to welcome her back. She is fully dedicated to supporting the city's growth while maintaining its unique character. She looks forward to helping guide Livermore Downtown toward even greater success, ensuring the city continues to be a vibrant and welcoming destination for everyone. Kara moves to LDI starting on March 17th and we look forward to re-introducing her to the merchants and community. |
