SPARC Theater's After-School Programs Bring Original Stories to Life for Young Performers

SPARC Theater’s After-School Programs Bring Original Stories to Life for Young Performers LIVERMORE, CA — SPARC Theater, the Tri-Valley’s professional theater, nurtures creativity, confi dence, and a love of the arts through its after-school youth programs. Students explore acting, storytelling, and performance in a supportive, professional environment, gaining real-world theater experience while building teamwork and communication skills. This season, SPARC is thrilled to feature a new original play for its elementary-aged Some Have Greatness program: Snow White and the Seven Elves, written by longtime SPARC volunteer and local author Amy Pittel. Amy brings extensive experience in storytelling and mentoring. She has run Amy Pittel Author Services since 2019 and published a contemporary Young Adult novel, Like It or Not, under her pen name, Amy G. Dalia. “Working with Amy has been a joy,” said SPARC Theater Education Director Emma Ledesma. “Her creativity and experience help our students bring original, meaningful stories to life on stage, while exploring theater in a fun, supportive environment.” Spring registration for SPARC Theater’s after-school programs is now open, with classes beginning in late January. These programs provide students of all ages and skill levels with the opportunity to learn from professional theater artists, develop confi dence and teamwork skills, and participate in productions they can be proud of.
