SPARC and Local Businesses Partner to Create a Shakespeare in the Vineyard Getaway Experience
New collaboration highlights how nonprofit arts organizations and local businesses can work together to enrich the cultural life of the Tri-Valley
Livermore, CA — This summer, SPARC is partnering with local hospitality and wine country businesses to transform an evening of Shakespeare into a full Livermore cultural getaway experience.
As part of SPARC’s 20th Anniversary season, audiences attending Hamlet at Darcie Kent Vineyards can now take advantage of a new Shakespeare in the Vineyard package created in collaboration with Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Livermore and participating Livermore Valley wineries.
The partnership reflects a growing effort among nonprofit arts organizations and local businesses to strengthen the region’s cultural life, tourism economy, and sense of community through collaborative experiences that encourage visitors to explore Livermore’s vibrant arts and wine country destinations together.
SPARC’s production of Hamlet runs July 2–26, 2026, with all performances beginning at 7:30 PM. Performed outdoors beneath the summer sky, the production reimagines Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy in a bold 1990s-inspired setting filled with political intrigue, fractured loyalties, and psychological tension.
The Shakespeare in the Vineyard Package invites audiences to fully immerse themselves in the experience of an evening in Livermore Valley wine country.
Package includes:
- One-night stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Livermore in a king or double queen studio room
- Two tickets to SPARC’s production of The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark
- Voucher for one bottle of Darcie Kent wine to enjoy during the performance
- Complimentary wine tasting at participating Livermore Valley wineries
- Complimentary hot buffet breakfast
- Access to the outdoor heated pool and fitness center
Package pricing is available Thursday through Sunday nights at $319 plus tax. A 72-hour advance booking requirement and 72-hour cancellation policy apply.
