Assistance League of Amador Valley is Having a Tea Party celebrating our 25th year of community service.  The Mad Hatter’s Tea will be held on April 25 from noon to four p.m. at the Shrine Event Center, Livermore.

The event, usually a sell-out, includes charming tables, each decorated by one of the members of Assistance League, yummy food, a Mad Hatter’s hat contest, raffle prizes, silent auction and more.  The entertainment will be a vintage fashion show by the Goodwill Bag Ladies, It will be a memorable afternoon with the variety of table decorations, a variety of hats and seeing the ladies all dressed to the nines.

The proceeds from this event benefit Assistance League’s many philanthropic programs, including Clothe the Kids, which enables underserved elementary school children to go shopping and choose school clothes.  Last year 325 children were able to choose $125 worth of Kohls’ clothing.  Our Food for Families program purchases food for a local food bank, spending on average $800 monthly. We also offer vision screening at preschools, purchase books for school age children, sponsor seniors’ holiday celebrations, and more.
