LVJUSD Begins New Student Enrollment & Priority Transfers for 2026-27
The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is pleased to announce that new student enrollment for the 2026–27 school year begins December 1, 2025. Families with students entering Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten, or any grade level for the first time in LVJUSD are encouraged to begin the enrollment process as soon as the window opens. LVJUSD will continue the tradition of hosting its annual enrollment fair on January 28 and 29, 2026 at the Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Avenue) from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m each day. The fair will give parents and guardians of new elementary students the opportunity to submit required enrollment documents, meet principals and staff (including bilingual staff), and learn about programs and services provided by the district and community programs and services. Representatives from child nutrition, health services, before-and-after school programs, healthcare partners, and the Livermore Library will also be available to share information about their support for students and families. Families are encouraged to attend the fair at the day and time that works best for them; both days provide identical support and resources, and there is no advantage to attending one day over the other.
“Enrolling a child in school, especially for the very first time, can feel like a big step, and we want families to know they don’t have to navigate it alone. Our enrollment fair brings all of our resources and staff together in one place so parents and guardians can get their questions answered, and feel confident in joining the LVJUSD community,” said Tracie Christmas, Director of Student Services. Families who cannot attend the fair may submit their required documents at their school of residence beginning February 2, 2026.
In addition to new student enrollment, priority intra-district transfer requests can be submitted on the district’s website from December 1-19, 2025. Parents or guardians interested in having their student attend a school other than their school of residence can complete an online Intra-District Transfer Request Form. Students must be currently enrolled or have completed the new student enrollment online form before an intra-district transfer request can be processed. Requests received by December 19, 2025 will be given priority consideration based on space availability. Visit the LVJUSD website at www.livermoreschools.org/
