LVJUSD Hires New Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

June 20, 2025 - Livermore, CA -  The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is pleased to announce the selection of Jessica Bonduris, Ed. D. as Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources starting July 1, 2025. Dr. Bonduris joins the executive cabinet following a comprehensive and competitive selection process that included input from a panel of 18 district leaders, school administrators, union leaders, and school board members. 

“We are fortunate to have Dr. Bonduris joining our team,” shared Superintendent Torie Gibson. “Her leadership in personnel management, combined with her extensive experience at both the district and county levels, will be instrumental in supporting and strengthening our human resources operations. Her insight and expertise will be a tremendous asset to our staff and entire district.”

Bonduris’s most recent roles include serving as an interim director of state and federal programs and as an associate superintendent at the county level. Prior to her nearly two decades of educational leadership experience at the district and county levels, she began her career in education as a teacher and principal. In her new role with LVJUSD, Bonduris will serve as a key principal on the district’s negotiations team, oversee staffing to ensure alignment with contractual ratios and budget priorities, and lead the human resources department in supporting nearly 1,500 employees across the district.

Dr. Bonduris earned her Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential from the University of Wisconsin, a Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Mary’s University in Minneapolis, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Mills College in Oakland. 

Her appointment was officially announced during the Board of Education meeting on June 17, 2025. Her employment contract will be presented for board approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting on August 12, 2025.
